Sand dunes.  There are two geological wonders no one should ever miss out during their travel to Mui Ne. You can easily book day trips to the red or the white sand dunes.

  • Red sand dunes: They are located 3km north of Mui Ne village. The red dunes offer a unique landscape in Asia: sand hills extending almost as far as the eye can see. The heat makes you feel like in a desert. It is possible to explore the site on foot or sliding down the dunes on rented sledges. The best time to discover the dunes is undoubtedly the sunset, the sand then takes an intense ocher color.
  • White sand dunes: Located about 30km from Mui Ne village, the white sand dunes are the tallest and largest. It is still a wild and protected site, which is lined with lakes covered with lotus and reeds. Go up the dunes enjoying walking on the warm sand, but you could also hire quad bikes on arrival at the dune.

Tip: if your budget allows, enjoy an unforgettable hot air balloon tour over the dunes. Mui Ne is the only place in Vietnam offering hot air balloon rides.

Fishing village . During your travel to Mui Ne, spend time witnessing the local life and enjoy fresh and perfectly cooked seafood at a very affordable price. This village also offers a splendid view on a wide coastline with palm trees and colorful fishing boats moored on the water.

Fairy Stream . Located about 4 km from the city center, this photography hotspot offers breathtaking landscapes. Throughout your stroll in the creek water, discover palm oases and white and ocher stone stalagmites formed by erosion in the cliffs.

Tip: wear comfortable clothing and bring an extra pair of shoes: even if the steam is about ankle-deep for the most part, during the deepest part it could past your knees.

Kitesurfing and windsurfing . Both activities are extremely popular in Mui Ne thanks to the good weather conditions. For those wanting to try these sports for the first time, lessons are available, but they can be expensive. 

Price: 2 hours of intense teaching (private lesson) costs $100 and a 5-hour package costs around $250.

Trinh Restaurant. Unlike many restaurants in Mui Ne, Trinh Restaurant offers a small menu. Enjoy local food, well prepared that is not too expensive. The staff is friendly and speaks English very well.

Mui Ne Mr Crab

Bi Bo Quan . Enjoy tasty seafood which is served by a friendly staff. Located just next to Mr. Crab, Bi Bo Quan also offers great quality seafood. It is our favorite seafood restaurant in Mui Ne.

Food Court Dong Vui . This in an international food court where you could find 10 stalls offering Vietnamese, Indian, but also Mexican and Italian food. The menu is displayed on the tables and you pay only once you have received your dishes.

For high budget ($$$): Anantara Mui Ne Resort
It is considered one of the best properties in Mui Ne. Guests love the buffet offered for breakfast. You could enjoy a private pool and sun loungers in each room. An outdoor pool, a spa and a bar are also on-site. For those of you who want to play golf, a course is nearby. One night costs around $200 for 2 people.
